20-21 avril 2013, Salou : 12ème Coupe de Catalogne de iaïdo

L’association de Catalogne de Iaïdo et Jodo avait organisé les 20 et 21 avril 2013 à Salou (Espagne) la XIIème Coupe de Catalogne de Iaïdo, sous la direction de Robert Rodriguez. Plus de 40 iaïdokas étaient présents pour cet évènement.

En prélude à la compétition, la journée du samedi 20 a été consacrée à l’étude du seitei-iaï. Pour débuter la journée, des séries de kihon ont permis de travailler les fondamentaux du iaï : tenue du sabre, posture, appuis, placement des hanches. Le reste de la journée a ensuite été consacré aux points importants de chacun des 12 kata de la série fédérale.

La 12ème Coupe de Catalogne de Iaïdo s’est déroulée le dimanche 21 avril. Répartis en 3 catégories (6ème-2ème kyu / 1er kyu-1er dan / 2ème-3ème dan) tous les compétiteurs ont donné le meilleur d’eux même. L’accés au podium fut très disputé !

The Catalunia Iaido and Jodo Association has organized on 20 and 21 April 2013 in Salou (Spain) the XII Catalunia Iaido Cup, under the direction of Robert Rodriguez. More than 40 iaïdokas were present for this event.
Prior to the competition, the Saturday 20 was dedicated to the study of seitei-iai. To start the day, series of kihon have allowed to work the fundamentals of iai : holding the sword, posture, supports of the body, placement of the hips. The rest of the day was dedicated to important points of each of the 12 kata of Zenkenren Iaï.
The 12th Cup of Catalonia Iaido then took place Sunday, April 21. Divided into three categories (6th to 2nd kyu / 1st kyu-1st dan / 2nd-3rd dan) all competitors gave the best of themselves. The access to the podium was highly contested !
